Glassjaw
"Worship and Tribute"

They’re a little screemo and a little metal, and they’re a lot of noise and power. Glassjaw is an incredible screemo band led by the powerful straining voice of Daryl Palumbo (see Finch “Grey Matter” and “Project Mayhem”). Their sophomore album “Worship and Tribute” is a roller coaster of indie-rock, metal, and screemo led by the opening power of “Tip Your Bartender” and “Mu Empire” the album progresses well to an indie-rock classic “Ape Dos Mil” and then begins to fall apart a little bit. After “Ape Dos Mil” there are two solid tracks in “Stuck Pig” and “Must’ve Run All Day”, but then the album dies until the ender “Two Tabs of Mescaline” which is a beautiful closer to an, in-the-end, solid album, it’s an inconsistent record, but one that deserves to be given accolades from everywhere, this is a truly good album, that any screemo fan will enjoy.
